Kumkum’s father was the landlord of Hussainabad, his name was Manzoor Hasan Khan.

Actress Kumkum is married to Sajjad Akbar Khan who belongs to Lucknow and used to work in Saudi Arabia. Kumkum moved to Saudi Arabia with her husband after marriage and after almost 23 years they returned to India in 95. She had two children when she returned.
